South Florida Chapter AALNC Strategic Plan 2011
The purpose of the Executive Committee is to provide overall direction to the South Florida Chapter
of AALNC. It is the responsibility of the Executive Committee to establish the Strategic Plan for the
Chapter. A Chapter Budget needs to be developed and monitored in order to meet the fiscal
responsibilities of the Chapter. The Executive Committee formulates its goals and objectives based
upon those of various sub-committees. All key decision making occurs at this Executive level. Input
from all Committee members is necessary to the overall function of the Chapter. The Executive
Committee consists of the Board Members, which include the President, President Elect, Treasurer,
Secretary, and Director(s)-at-Large as well as the various Chairpersons/Coordinators from each of the
committees.
Goals for 2011:
1. Encourage members to become LNCC
2. Conduct Annual educational and need survey
3. Continue to implement a retention and recruitment plan to retain and increase membership
a. Maintain and update the paid membership database, ensuring that membership
requirement compliance is met.
4. Maintain frequent communication with members through constant contact and website
5. Publish the Informer four times per year or more frequently as warranted.
6. Continue Education Meetings monthly.
7. Encourage a local LNC community network among members.

The goal of the Membership Committee is to increase paid membership in the Chapter, to increase
attendance at the educational meetings by providing ongoing professional support to the paid
members and potential members and to promote membership growth.

It is our belief that the caliber of our speakers and content of our presentations will enhance and
